| Mountain Engine: | Culdee rests by the Skarloey Railway on his way back from repair and tells about his rack-railway, including automatic brakes. |
| Bad Look-Out: | Duncan is subdued after Culdee tells the terrible tale of Godred's accident.

| Danger Points: | Culdee returns to the railway and meets Lord Harry, who becomes derailed on points at the Summit.
|
| “Devil's Back”: | Lord Harry, now No 6, rescues some climbers on the mountain summit, as a reward, he takes the name “Patrick”.
